Method of assessment

A range of assessment methods should be used to assess practical skills and knowledge The following examples are appropriate for this unit

direct questioning combined with review of portfolios of evidence and third party workplace reports of onthejob performance by the candidate

evaluation of policies and strategies developed by the candidate

evaluation of reports prepared by the candidate on the policy development process challenges faced and how these were overcome

evaluation of candidates response to different industry or community scenarios to assess ability to develop policy and strategy for particular organisations workplace contexts
